3 Lessons I’d Like To Go Back And Tell Myself

Entering the Amazon marketplace is like stepping into a vast, uncharted jungle.

Four years ago, I embarked on this journey, equipped with enthusiasm but needing more experience than I now possess.

Here are 3 lessons I wish I had known when I started 4 years ago:

  1. Amazon's Shipping Maze: The Chaos for Hidden Cash

When I first started, I was unaware that Amazon’s 305 major shipping facilities across the U.S. were both a blessing and a logistical nightmare.

The reality of misplaced products in this maze hit me harder than a box of unscanned inventory.

Then came the bombshell: nearly all Amazon sellers are owed money for these logistical hiccups (99%, according to Amazon).

But the clock ticks fast – you have 30 days to claim your dues.

My advice to my past self?

Stay vigilant and claim what's rightfully yours in this corporate hide-and-seek game.

The best tool I have found is Seller Investigators. This is the tool I would like to go back and give myself.

  1. Mastering the Inventory Tango: Dance with Amazon's Peaks and Pits

The dance of inventory management on Amazon is a complex ballet.

It's about maintaining optimal stock levels and avoiding the pitfalls of overstocking, especially during peak seasons with soaring fees.

I wish I'd known about Managed by Stats sooner.

This tool is like a dance instructor, guiding you through the nuances of replenishing, reducing, or revamping your stock based on trends and seasons.

It’s all about having the right partner in this intricate dance.

  1. The Double-Dip Dance: How Off-Amazon Ads Boost BSR and Pocket:

PPC within Amazon is the key.

However, the real game-changer is advertising outside Amazon.

Bringing in customers from platforms like Google, Meta, or TikTok can boost your BSR by up to tenfold.

And here's where PixelMe works its magic.

By creating affiliate links for your Amazon products, you can earn commissions while boosting your BSR, essentially “double-dipping.”

It's a self-funding cycle of sales and visibility that's nothing short of genius.

For a real kicker, make sure your links go to your branded Amazon Storefront so customers can see your products and increase their chances of seeing something they like.

Reflecting on my four-year Amazon journey, these lessons stand out as game-changers.

Each one has reshaped my approach, transforming challenges into opportunities.

To my fellow sellers, may these insights light your path and lead you to success in the ever-evolving world of Amazon selling.

My links are affiliate links, and I may receive a small commission if you choose to use the discounts.

It won’t cost you anything, but it means the world to me when you use my links.

Thanks for your continued support.
